Complilearn were delighted to be welcomed to present at the C-Integrity Singapore, a Teh Group event, in Singapore.
Our workshop session was titled ‘Designing a GRC Framework in Preparation for Expansion, Funding, and Listing’, and was well attended by an audience from a wide variety of industries and professional backgrounds. The event was a good opportunity to have a midyear review of all things GRC, from the continuing growth of Regulatory Technology (RegTech) and Blockchain, new regulatory developments both locally and regionally, to the continued focus on Culture Reform in sectors such as financial services.
The key theme that emerged during the day changed; the pace of change, the volume of change, and the complexity of change. This is clearly proving to be a monumental challenge across the industry, with many GRC practitioners suffering from the feeling of only being able to stay just above the water line. There are no easy answers to this challenge, but as the regulatory environment becomes more mature, it would seem likely that it will also become more sustainable, with a slower level of development and updates. Unfortunately, only time will tell, and so this issue may persist for some time.
Huge thanks to the team at The Teh Group for organising another excellent event, we can’t wait to see you at the next one!
