The 1 day event was organized by the Securities Industry Development Corporation (SIDC) and attended by Compliance Officers and Directors from both financial and non-financial services sectors. The conference featured both local and international presenters, giving a varied overview of current factors affecting compliance practitioners today.
The breadth of content led to a very insightful and thought-provoking event. Sanjeev spoke on Sustainable Compliance through Customised Training, including the challenges faced by practitioners when trying to get business to comply.
During the breakout sessions, there was exchanges of ideas with participants and regulators as to how we can ensure Sustainable Compliance and not be burden to business, but to be a proactive part of strategic business objectives and success. Participants also discussed that a rigid approach to compliance is, typically, not the answer, and we then need to understand the pain points of business and work with them to develop a system that is practical and sustainable.
This was a great event, and Complilearn would like to thank SIDC for inviting us to deliver a session together with our fellow professionals, Raymon Ram and Ramesh Pillai. Huge congratulations also to Natalie Sylvia for her wonderful presentation and setting the tone and theme for this event. We are already looking forward to the next session!
